The helicopter industry relies on collaboration between three heliports to provide nearly 450 direct, indirect, and induced jobs in New York City. The symbiosis between those three facilities is crucial to protect these good-paying jobs. 

The average salary for helicopter employees — including administration, aviation, and flight support is $112,950 per year. That is more than double the per-capita average of $52,308 in New York City. 

These salaries have been a boon to New York City’s economy. Collectively, the industry creates nearly $45 million in labor income and almost $140 million in economic activity every year.
